Deep down, Regitze has never felt completely accepted at home for being who she truly is. Now in her early 30s, she finds herself with no job, no partner and no children. She is also no longer on speaking terms with her father, Jan. Yet when father and daughter discover Regitze's mother's dying wish was for them to reconnect and follow the Camino de Santiago together, the two set out on a 260-kilometre journey.
